There Is an Official X-Files Coloring Book

Available starting February 4 at 7 p.m. PT.

By Terri Schwartz

The truth is out there, X-Files fans, and you can find it in the new Official X-Files Coloring Book being released this week.

As part of its X-Files art show, Conspiracies, Monsters & Mythology, Los Angeles art gallery iam8bit is releasing a $12 coloring book featuring 16 original illustrations, puzzles and games. If you've ever wanted to shade in the Smoking Man, now's your chance.

Check out a look inside the coloring book:

The coloring book, which FOX officially approved, will be sold online and in iam8bit's Echo Park store when the art show begins on February 4 at 7 p.m. PT. The show also features more than 30 prints of artists' interpretations of their favorite X-Files characters, episodes and lore. The prints range in price from $20 up.

Here's a preview of some of the art that will be on sale:

Conspiracies, Monsters & Mythology opens on Thursday, February 4 with a 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. reception that is open to the public. (RSVPs can be made here.) The art will also be available for purchase with worldwide shipping starting at 7 p.m. on iam8bit's website. Though the show ends on February 14, prints and coloring books will remain available for purchase both in-store and on the website until they run out.

Meanwhile, The X-Files is halfway through its revival run on FOX, and just aired its best episode yet in "Mulder & Scully Meet the Were-Monster."

An 'X-Files' Coloring Book For The Believer In Your Life

Scully might not believe it, but it's true.

If you don't have a soft spot in your heart for Agent Scully's skepticism and general badassery, or Agent Mulder's inexhaustible faith and dad jokes, OR the paranormal cronies spooking up your hometown, I suggest heading to Netflix and rectifying the situation immediately.

For the rest of us, the "X-Files" Coloring Book is here.

As the 10th season reboot of the iconic sci-fi television show comes to an end, let the weirdness live on through Lehr Beidelschies' illustrations, officially licensed by the way, just begging for your coloring touch.

As a person on the Internet, you've probably heard many a time about the therapeutic benefits of coloring as an adult. Short version: it's nostalgic, creative, mellow, soothing. It provides an artistic outlet for those among us who have been blessed with the gift of two left hands.

And the best part: The "X-Files" Coloring Book is out there.

Actually, it's available online here.
