The X-Files - 'The Complete Season 11': The Pre-Orders Are Out There!

No availability date yet, but Amazon is taking advance orders for DVDs and Blu-ray Discs
Posted by David Lambert

The all-new, 10-episode installment of THE X-FILES premiered Wednesday, January 3rd. Once again, the event series is executive-produced by creator Chris Carter, with stars David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson returning in their roles as iconic FBI Agents FOX MULDER and DANA SCULLY. Mitch Pileggi also returns as FBI Asst. Director WALTER SKINNER.  Additionally, the all-new episodes will feature guest-star appearances by Annabeth Gish, Robbie Amell, Lauren Ambrose, Karin Konoval, Barbara Hershey, Haley Joel Osment...and William B. Davis, who reprises his role as "Cigarette Smoking Man." Along with Carter, series veteran Glen Morgan serves as an executive producer.a

Two weeks ago the Fox Network debuted a new broadcast season of the returning show, and we've seen two episodes so far of a 10-episode season. Now Amazon has ALREADY begun taking pre-orders for releases of The X-Files - The Complete Season 11 on both DVD and high-def Blu-ray Disc. These listings are prior to the official Fox Home Entertainment announcement for the item, though, so instead of a street date Amazon merely says "This title has not yet been released. You may pre-order it now and we will deliver it to you when it arrives."

Pricing is available, however, currently showing $19.98 SRP and $29.99 SRP (you can, of course, guarantee your copy right away, if you order it using either of the above links). There are no other details available so far at Amazon's entry, but there is some early box art (shown below; may not be finalized yet, and could be subject to change). We'll update you further on this title, of course, just as soon as we find out anything more! Our thanks to one of our readers, John Snyder, for tipping us off about Amazon's entries.
