He's an actor, known best for playing Fox Mulder in The X Files and Hank Moody in Californication, he’s a director, an author of three bestselling novels and it doesn’t stop there, David Duchovny is also a musician and as it turns out, he’s pretty good!

Despite the fact that he only started learning how to play the guitar in his fifties, he's gone from strumming away in between takes to releasing not one but two albums!

You can see David play his first ever Irish gig at The Academy in Dublin on the 20th of February, which just happens to fall on our Shauna's birthday. Like most 90s kids, she loved 'The X Files' and had a crush on Fox Mulder. More recently, she binge-watched 'Californication' and became very fond of his character, lovable rogue Hank Moody.

As an early birthday present, Shauna got to chat to the man himself about his move from acting to music, his trip to Dublin and how she plans to spend her 33rd birthday with him.....
